Welcome to the Evening Standard's LIVE coverage of the Premier League games between Chelsea and Watford.

Frank Lampard's team will want to make sure their loss at West Ham was merely a blip as they host the Hornets on Saturday.

A 3-2 defeat at the London Stadium has allowed Manchester United to close the gap in the race for Champions League qualification, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side beating Bournemouth 5-2 earlier today.

Watford, meanwhile, face a battle to avoid the drop and have not won since Premier League football resumed. Will they boost their chances by condemning Chelsea to another damaging defeat.

Team news

Frank Lampard made four changes for Chelsea's Premier League clash with Watford at Stamford Bridge.

Boss Lampard was left frustrated after the Blues' 3-2 loss at West Ham on Wednesday, and rejigged his defence as a result.

Kurt Zouma, Reece James and Olivier Giroud came in for Antonio Rudiger, Marcos Alonso and Tammy Abraham, while Mason Mount started with Mateo Kovacic injured. James stepped in at right-back with captain Cesar Azpilicueta moving across to the left.

Christian Kabasele, Adrian Mariappa and Nathaniel Chalobah all started for Watford, while Andre Gray returned to the bench.

Prediction: Watford 0-2 Chelsea

Chelsea's loss at the London Stadium was deserved but can still be considered a blip. Frank Lampard's side have looked impressive since football resumed and I expect them to get back to winning ways.

Alan Smith's view

If Watford are as bad as they were last time out in losing to Southampton, Chelsea should have no trouble at all. But I cannot believe they will be that poor again, not with Nigel Pearson at the helm demanding better.

Involved in two ‘Great Escapes’ already with West Brom and Leicester, Pearson knows what it takes to keep heads above water. That said, it’s difficult to see the visitors getting much here.

Still angry no doubt about losing to West Ham, Frank Lampard will be shuffling his talented squad for a suitable reaction.

Head to head (h2h) history and results

Chelsea have won 20 of 36 matches between the two teams, including the last three.

Watford's sole win this century came in February 2018.
