Chelsea have seen their final Premier League position predicted by two supercomputers.

The Blues claimed a 1-0 win over Bournemouth at the weekend with Christopher Nkunku on the score sheet at the Vitality Stadium.

Enzo Maresca's side are now in eighth place in the Premier League table thanks to the victory over the Cherries, and will now prepare to return to top-flight action this weekend when they face West Ham at the London Stadium.

This season will also see Chelsea compete in the Europa Conference League and the Carabao Cup, as well as the FA Cup later in the campaign, but it will be the Premier League that will be the main judge of success for the Blues.

Two supercomputers have predicted where Chelsea will finish in the final top-flight standings this season.

BETSiE, a supercomputer provided by Betting Expert, believe that Chelsea will secure Champions League football for next season.

The prediction believes that the Blues will finish in fourth place with a final points tally of 65.6. This would be just behind third-placed Liverpool (75), runners-up Arsenal (77) and title winners Manchester City (85).

Another supercomputer provided by OLBG believes Chelsea could have an even more successful season. The predictor believes that the Blues will finish in third place with 78 points, one ahead of Liverpool in fourth. In the same table, Arsenal are once again tipped to finish second with Man City as the title winners.

Chelsea have a busy fixture list between now and the next international break. After facing West Ham in the league, the Blues will take on Barrow in the Carabao Cup before facing Brighton and Nottingham Forest either side of the Europa Conference League opener against Gent.
