January transfer deadline day is here, but could Chelsea make any signings in the final 24 hours of the transfer window?

It seems that Enzo Maresca is still trying his best to shape the Chelsea squad to his liking, with a host of names being linked with moves to Stamford Bridge, as well as away. Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho and Bayern Munich's Mathys Tel are just two of the names being linked with the Blues in recent weeks, while the likes of Axel Disasi, Cesare Casadei, and Joao Felix have all been rumoured to depart the club this month.

A Premier League title may be out of reach for Chelsea right now, but with the FA Cup, Conference League, and securing a Champions League spot still up for grabs, Maresca could be tempted to add to his squad before the window shuts. So, if Chelsea were to make any last-minute signings in the January transfer window, who could then sign? We simulated the 2025 January transfer deadline day to find out...

  • Jamie Gittens (Borussia Dortmund) - £66million (rising to £80million with add-ons)

Chelsea made an extremely ambitious effort to sign Paris Saint-Germain's Ousmane Dembele on deadline day, but despite bidding £71million for the winger, they couldn't reach an agreement with the French club. Instead, the Blues stepped up their interest in Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens, and the two clubs eventually agreed on a deal worth £80million with add-ons.

Chelsea also made one more signing on deadline day, with 18-year-old Elie Junior Kroupi signing for £19million, rising to £27million with add-ons. The forward has 11 goal contributions in 18 games this season for Lorient.
