Cheltenham Festival 2023: Martin Pipe tips - Iroko to round off Festival in style
There's always a slightly downbeat feel when the horses line up for the Martin Pipe, as it signals the end of the feast of top-class racing that is the Cheltenham Festival. The extended two-and-a-half-mile course includes nine hurdles, and when you consider that this race was won two years ago by this year's Gold Cup favourite Galopin Des Champs, then even this last race should not be undervalued. Iroko arrives at Prestbury Park after winning both of this season's outings, both of which were at Wetherby. The second of those success saw him beat the runner-up by 14 lengths, with the rest of his nine rivals stretched out into the distance, suggesting a win here could be a springboard towards greater things for this promising five-year-old.

It would seem fitting if Irish Hill were to round off another Festival dominated by stables from the Emerald Isle, but this selection is based on more than the name.
This Paul-Nicholls-trained five-year-old seems to have more progress in him, and he arrives here off a hat-trick of impressive wins and he looks a decent price for an each-way punt. Each-way popular punt: Irish Hill
