CHERRIES' move for Tom Lawrence has been "blocked" by Derby County's administrators, according to a report by Football Insider.
Cherries have been linked with a late January transfer window move for the talented midfielder.
The Rams went into administration last September and have been docked 21 points for breaching EFL financial rules.
Wales international Lawrence joined Derby from Leicester in 2017 and has gone on to play 170 times at senior level.
He netted twice in a 3-2 win over Cherries in November.
But the latest report from Football Insider claims both Cherries and QPR have seen approaches to buy the 28-year-old rejected by the club's administrators, who see Lawrence as a key member of Wayne Rooney's squad.
Discussing transfers last week, Cherries boss Scott Parker said: "I think there is an area there (central midfield) where we can strengthen, along with a few others.
"That's not just the (only) area where I feel that we can look to build in a little bit more.
"I do think the front half of the pitch is an area where we are looking at, where we probably need to improve.
"Whether that is more of an attack-minded number 8, a winger or a forward. I think that area of the pitch is somewhere we are looking to try and improve a bit."
