CHERRIES youngster Brennan Camp has announced he is set to leave the club this summer.

Defender Camp, who made his Cherries debut in the EFL Cup defeat to Norwich earlier this campaign, took to social media to confirm his departure.

In total Camp made two appearances for the club, both in cup competitions under Scott Parker.

Adept at right-back and centre-half, Camp finished the season on loan with National League Eastleigh.

In his years at Cherries, Camp has also enjoyed loan spells with local sides Portland United, Dorchester Town, Poole Town, and Weymouth.

Former Cherries boss Lee Bradbury, who is now at the helm of Eastleigh, had previously told the Daily Echo that Cherries had offered Camp new terms.

Bradbury also revealed he was very keen to keep Camp at the Silverlake stadium beyond the terms of his loan, indicating the 22-year-old’s potential destination.

On social media Camp shared: “After 14 years at Bournemouth, I feel like it’s the right time to leave and move on to the next stage in my career.

“I want to thank everybody associated with the football club over the years I have been there, who have helped me become the player and person I am today.

“I managed to make my first team debut this season, which was a dream of mine when I first joined the club at the age of 7.

“So many great achievements and experiences that I will never forget.”

Camp’s current deal expires at the end of June, after it was signed in the summer of 2019. Cherries activated an extension clause last summer to carry Camp into the third year of the deal.

Cherries are still yet to share their retained list, and have until the third Saturday of May (May 21) to do so.
