Yvan Muller for Chevrolet won the first WTCC race in the US with victory in Sonoma.

Neve has been responsible for the constructor's WTCC programme ever since its inception in 2004.

He enjoyed great success in 2010 and 2011 when securing back-to-back constructors' and drivers' world championship titles.

Chevrolet lead the field again in both championships with just three events remaining in the calendar but are pulling out of WTCC at the end of the season.

Neve has chosen to remain in motorsport and will join HWA AG as a director.

Michell Seaman will replace Neve at Chevrolet for what remains of the 2012 season.
