Chris McCausland thought 'emotional' Strictly song decision would cost him votes
Chris McCausland has been one of the standout stars of this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The blind Liverpudlian comic has taken the audience by storm by showcasing flair, timing and personality in his routines throughout the show.
He has garnered a huge array of support up and down the country for what he has achieved over the course of the series and is now in the final three, alongside former JLS star JB Gill, actress Sarah Hadland and former Love Island contestant Tasha Ghouri.

The 47-year-old will take to the dancefloor with his partner, Dianne Buswell, one last time in tonight's epic finale, during which the pair will dance three times in a bid to win the Glitterball Trophy.
One dance will see each couple perform their favourite number from the series and McCausland has chosen to do the waltz to You'll Never Walk Alone.
McCausland is a massive Liverpool fan and the song is, of course, synonymous with the Anfield club. Liverpool FC share a huge rivalry with Everton and McCausland even admitted before he danced to the number earlier in the series, he thought it might cost him thousands of votes from the blue half of Merseyside or even Manchester United and Manchester City supporters.
"We will be dancing a waltz to a song that is very close to my heart, and close to the heart of every Liverpool fan out there," he wrote in The Telegraph before dancing to it for the first time. "You’ll Never Walk Alone was written for the musical Carousel back in the 1940s, but has been synonymous with Liverpool Football Club since the 1960s.
"It’s an emotional song, and the waltz is an emotive dance if done right, and we will do our utmost to do justice to both. I do worry that by dancing to this song we may be forfeiting a large number of votes from the blue half of Merseyside and the whole of the city of Manchester, but if that is the case then I can’t think of a more beautiful message to go out on than one of togetherness and hope."
On last night's Strictly It Takes Two show, McCausland's friend Neil hailed the impact the comedian had when he danced his first waltz to the song back in October.
"All of us cried our eyes out because I just knew what impact that would be having back in Liverpool," Neil said on the BBC show. "He hides a lot behind his humour but he's got a heart of gold, he's an inspiration to lots of people out there and it's unreal what he's done."
McCausland is godfather to Neil's son, Eddie, who also heaped praise on the Liverpool comedian in the heartwarming video package. He said: "When I first heard about Chris being on Strictly Come Dancing, I couldn't believe it. I thought he would be really bad at dancing but then it turned out he was really good at it. I've never been more proud of Chris, especially making it through to the final."
Chris admitted being able to unite the city and convert some Everton fans to enjoy a performance to a Liverpool FC anthem is his greatest triumph, no matter what tonight's result is.
"The biggest victory here is my mate Neil and his son Eddie are massive Everton fans and for them to appreciate," he said. "You'll Never Walk Alone like they did. Little Eddie said he was going to refuse to watch it and he ended up loving it so that's the biggest victory I could ever have, making Everton fans like it."
