Chris Webber beyond hyped after highlight-reel 'block' in Gonzaga-West Virginia game

C-Webb was super excited to see this "block."

Chris Webber achieved levels of hype never thought possible during Gonzaga's Sweet 16 matchup against West Virginia on Thursday.

Webber has West Virginia freshman forward Sagaba Konate to thank, considering it was his emphatic shot "block" against Gonzaga's Johnathan Williams late in the second half.

"What a block! That's what I'm talking about!" Webber said on the TBS telecast. "Can't treat that like noregular highlight! That's a block! Let's go, NCAA, let's play some ball!"

It's understandable Webber was so excited in the moment considering the enormity of the play: No. 4 West Virginia could have easily upset No. 1 Gonzaga to advance to the Elite Eight— they eventually fell 61-58 — but it appears Konate may have gotten more hand than ball on the dunk attempt.

Oh, well — at the very least, Webber showed us what top-notch hype game looks like.
