A NEW churro business in Worcester says it will open very soon.

Cheeky Churro, on New Street, will officially open on Saturday, April 1.

But churro fans had a sneak peek of what to expect this weekend when the shop opened briefly as part of a 'soft' launch.

The New Street business is now fully covered in branding, with logos in the windows and a large menu facing the public.

It will be home to churros, a sweet pastry popular in Spain and Mexico made from deep-fried dough and with cinnamon sugar.

Dipping churros, soft serve ice cream, sundaes and milkshakes will all be sold at Cheeky Churro, alongside a variety of hot and cold drinks.

The shop says a vegan recipe is used for its churros.

Customers were able to try out the churros between Friday, March 24 and Sunday, March 26 as part of the shop's preparations for opening.

The business has also shared a variety of posts on Instagram, including a video of a churro machine in action.

Signs first appeared in February, in the window of the unit next to Be The Change advertising for two jobs.
