ECHOSPORT talks to Woking fan Jamie Hall ahead of tonight's match at Southend United.

Woking are currently seventh in the table. What have you made of the season so far?

"It’s been a very good start to the season as we see ourselves in seventh place going into tonight’s game, with a positive goal difference keeping us in the play off places.

"A few silly points dropped here and there but it’s swings and roundabouts in this league really and we’ve picked up some points we might not be expected to get."

What were the expectations for Woking this season and what do you feel can be achieved?

"We made a few good signings from the Football League this summer and managed to keep hold of a few players as well so I think a top half finish would’ve been the goal.

"But obviously you want to surpass goals if possible and I think now without getting ahead of ourselves we could potentially try and push for play offs, but we all know it’s a long season!"

What has changed since last season?

"I think the main change from last season is the man in charge.

"As good as Alan Dowson was for us in his time here I think towards the end it was obvious he had run out of ideas and had taken Woking as far as he could.

"On top of that I think we have significantly improved the squad, bringing in several experienced Football League players as previously mentioned."

Who is the dangerman?

"I think it’s hard to pinpoint one specific danger man this season as goals have been coming from all areas of the pitch, but for me personally every time I have seen him play Kyron Lofthouse seems to cause the opposition all sorts of problems.

"Due to a red card he received against Wrexham earlier in the season he hasn’t played as much as we’d have liked but prior to that he turned match winner scoring twice in a 2-0 win over Scunthorpe.

"Since returning to the side he also scored in a 2-0 home win over Solihull Moors so for me he would be the one to watch."

What's the team news?

"In terms of the team news, I think we’re likely to revert back to the side which beat Solihull 2-0 two weeks ago making one change from Saturday's game at Halifax due to an knock picked up by Kellermann which will see Jermaine Anderson return to the team."
