It was the Cole Palmer show at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. How often have we said that since he made the £40million move from Manchester City?

Palmer scooped the Premier League Young Player of the Season award last year and has pretty much picked up exactly where he left off this season.

The 22-year-old had two goals and four assists in his first five Blues matches of the campaign prior to the clash with Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday. He turned that into six goals and four assists in six games with an incredible performance against the Seagulls.

Palmer notched all four goals in a sensational ten-minute spell in the first half in west London as Chelsea beat Brighton 4-2. It was the first time in Premier League history a player has scored four goals in the first half of a match.

Everyone knows just how good the young forward is, with Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler claiming he was the best player Brighton have come up against so far this season. Palmer knows it himself too.

And footage shows he pretty much predicted the incredible four-goal haul before the season had even begun. Ahead of the season, there is always a Premier League media day, with cameras invited down with greens screens to do their graphics work for the season ahead.

With the cameras on location at Chelsea to do some goal celebration shots, Palmer was asked "can you do a one, two three, for if you score a hat-trick as well" after showing off his trademark 'cold' Palmer celebration.

Palmer proceeds do show one finger, two fingers and then three fingers to the camera, before saying: "Do you want four as well?" The cameraman asks him to repeat it and he says again: "Do you want four?"

The cameraman can be heard laughing before saying "yeah, just do it a bit slower." It did not take long for him to have to use the four!
