The Colts made a late free agency splash Thursday when they agreed to sign defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins to a three-year deal.
ESPN reported Indianapolis will pay Hankins, the top-ranked free agent left on the market,$30 million with$14.5 million guaranteed.
Hankins, 25, recorded 43 tackles with three sacks and a forced fumble last season with the Giants. His best year thus far came in 2014 when he recorded 51 tackles and seven sacks.
Indianapolis ranked 25th in rushing defense last season, so it will hope Hankins can help improve a struggling front line.
