Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is looking to bolster his attacking options this summer – and they’ve now been linked with former Juventus forward Paulo Dybala.

United scored just 57 Premier League goals in 2021-22 and Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored 18 of those goals, is now looking to leave Old Trafford.

The Red Devils are keen on Ajax winger Antony but are refusing to meet the €80million asking price and have now been linked with Dybala.

According to reports, Dybala’s move to Inter Milan has fallen through and United are currently in talks with his agent over a potential move.

The Argentina international, who was heavily linked with United in 2019, is currently a free agent after leaving Juventus at the end of the season.

“United yes, if Ronaldo left,” Italian transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio said when asked about Dybala’s options. “But they are looking for a number 9 and if they get Dybala they will have to change their playing style. But he’s on United’s list.

“Inter had the opportunity to sign him, but they preferred to sign [Romelu] Lukaku because he was their first choice. He doesn’t yet have a club willing to sign him for the €6million net a year he wanted. He wanted more, but now he’s down to €6millon net.”

We’ve compared Dybala’s Serie A stats for the 2021-22 season with the Premier League stats of United’s current forward options over the same period. Note: we’ve not included Martial’s La Liga stats from his loan spell at Sevilla in the second half of last season.
