Conor Coady reveals dressing room mood ahead of Ruud van Nistelrooy's first training session
Conor Coady believes Ruud van Nistelrooy is a ‘fantastic manager’ and has told his Leicester City team-mates they must listen to Steve Cooper’s replacement.
Coady was speaking after the Foxes were hammered 4-1 by Brentford despite taking an early lead through Facundo Buonanotte they were beaten by a Kevin Schade hat-trick and a goal from Yoane Wissa.
The game was the first since Cooper was relieved of his duties last weekend, and came with incoming boss van Nistelrooy watching in the stands.

“It wasn’t good enough,” Coady told Sky Sports News. “We are conceding too may goals, not creating enough. We are in a bad place as a team at this moment in time but only us can get ourselves out of it. We have got to pull ourselves through it, we have got to look at each other. Obviously a new manger is coming in, we will see the new manager in training tomorrow and we have got to go again.
“The good thing for us is there’s a full season to go and we have got to make sure we learn from him and listen to him as much as we can because he is a fantastic manager and put it to bed for Tuesday. The dressing room is down, there is a lot of us who need to take responsibility for that.”
In an interview with the BBC Coady added: “Today wasn't good enough. Giving away too many chances. We know how good Brentford can be and we had a plan. But we have to look at ourselves because we're not good enough at the moment.
"That's where we're at. We put ourselves in a good position but we're giving away too many chances against a top quality side. There's a lot we need to put right and look at. We're excited about the manager coming in and we're excited for that. It's hard to be excited at this moment after a performance like that.
"We just want to play. The fact we have another game on Tuesday but we need to look at this. We can't just brush it aside. We'll speak as a team and make sure we put it right. A lot of have been here before. A lot of experience in the dressing room and we've got to pull ourselves through."
