Bobby Clement says that Enugu Rangers’ consecutive victories did not come as a surprise to the squad.
Clement got the curtain raiser in the Flying Antelopes' 3-2 win over Wikki Tourist at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on Wednesday.
The Enugu side also dispatched of four-time Nigerian league champions prior to their encounter against the Bauchi Elephants.
And the striker believes that a return to form is responsible for their feats.
“It was an important win for us and we are happy that we were able to secure the three points. The fact that we were able to beat Wikki to record our second straight win for the first time this season did not come as a surprise to us because we have now rediscovered ourselves and are now raring to go,” Clement told Goal.
“We shall be proceeding to Akure with the same mentality to ensure that we get a positive result against Sunshine Stars. We know they just appointed a new coach, Austin Eguavoen but we are only concentrating on what we think we can do to achieve a good result irrespective of what our opponents are doing.”
Enugu Rangers are now 19th in the log with 19 points from 16 league games with three outstanding fixtures against Sunshine Stars, Plateau United and Gombe United.
