Constantine Mika will return to French Elite One after signing with Limoux for the upcoming 2022-23 campaign.

Mika, 32, returns to the league having previously featured for Villeneuve in the 2020-21 season.

The forward has made more than 150 career appearances for Newcastle Knights, Hull KR, Toulouse and Villeneuve.

Mika won one cap for Samoa in 2010. He played for the Exiles two years later whilst he was playing for Hull KR in Super League.

In 2021, he signed with Brooklyn Kings for what was supposed to be the inaugural season of the North American Rugby League. He went on to make the mid-season switch to Keighley on a deal until the end of 2021.

Mika was believed to have been offered a new contract by the League 1 club for the current season before rejecting for the opportunity in France.

In a club statement, Keighley said: “We would like to place on record our thanks to Con for his services and wish him, and his family, the very best for the future.”

James Maloney will play on next season after signing a new deal with Lezignan in the French Elite One competition.

The former New South Wales and Australia playmaker made more than 300 appearances across his career in the NRL and Super League.

Maloney won two NRL Premierships with Sydney Roosters in 2013 and Cronulla Sharks in 2016. He also featured in 14 Origins and won four caps for the Kangaroos.

He originally made the switch to the part-time competition at the end of the 2021 Super League campaign from Catalans. Maloney had led the Dragons to their first ever Grand Final in 2021 after winning the League Leaders’ Shield for the first time in their history.
