Contador to stay loyal to Saxo Bank

The Spaniard is currently serving a suspension after testing positive for clenbuterol at the 2010 Tour de France, a race he won only to later have his title stripped.

Contador's previous contract with the UCI World Tour team was terminated after the Court of Arbitration for Sport's decision to impose a sporting ban for his failed drugs test.

But when his suspension is lifted and he is free to return to racing, Contador cannot imagine racing for any team other than Saxo Bank.

"The support I have been given by the team leaders, (team owner Bjarne) Riis ... has been great," Contador told Marca. "For me it's invaluable, and for this my priority is with Saxo Bank.

"You have to close the deal, but on both sides it is fully available and I think we will reach an agreement soon."

Contador added that his focus upon his return to action - most likely at the Eneco Tour - will be on the Vuelta a Espana.

"I will use the 101 days I have to go over every stage of the Vuelta very well," he said. "I like to leave few things at random, there are many new finishes this year in the Vuelta that I want to learn, which is good because it will make it more attractive to the spectators."
