Conte plea bargain deal touted

Juventus boss Antonio Conte is apparently set to accept a three-month ban as part of the probe into match-fixing in Italian football.

Conte is set to accept a deal rather than risk a heavier punishment for allegedly having knowledge of an attempt to fix Siena matches against Novara and Albinoleffe but failing to report them.

Conte has denied the claims made by the Siena player Stefano Carobbio, but could be willing to accept the shorter sentence of a three-month ban and a 200,000 Euros fine.

Conte could be forced to sit out 10 Serie A matches and three in the Champions League, but would be back to take his seat in the technical area for the match with Inter.
