Cornwall have announced the signings of Jackson Walker, Adam Rusling and Louis Collinson on loan deals.

Collinson had been at the club before on loan from Batley. His deal has been extended until the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Walker has signed from Dewsbury on a two-week loan deal. Rusling, a half-back from Hull KR, has also made the move for two weeks.

The League One club have announced the signings ahead of their bottom-of-the-table clash against West Wales Raiders on Sunday. Both sides are still looking for their first victories of the season.

Cornwall coach happy with trio

Cornwall Head Coach Neil Kelly was particularly pleased with Collinson and the impact he made during their defeat against Hunslet.

He said:“Picking up the supporters’ man of the match award at Hunslet just endorses what I think about Louis.

“Louis has laid down the gauntlet to the other players in the middle to reach the standards he has set in the last two games. He is hungry to prove himself and he’s burst onto our scene.”

Meanwhile, Kelly said he had been impressed with Rusling, and says he will add another dimention to the side.

He added: “He is one of those young kids that is going to have a lot of responsibility thrown at him as I think we have been missing a recognised half-back at times this season.

“Adam has played in Super League and that is a difficult level of football to break into. For him to play at that level and then secure a move to Hull Kingston Rovers from Castleford would lead me to say that Adam has a fantastic pedigree.”

Finally, he credited his relationship with Dewsbury Head Coach Lee Greenwood for securing the services of Walker.

On the forward, he added: “Jackson comes highly recommended by Lee and as a middle, he adds strength to an area where we have been effective so far this season.

“However, the injuries we have suffered to middles have led to us not having enough players for those positions. You can never have enough middles and I think Jackson will be another player off the production line that is tough and can do a job in that area.”
