Coronation Street - Ed and Aggie's story with Fast Show star

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street has revealed details of The Fast Show star Arabella Weir's upcoming guest role in the soap.

Last week, Digital Spy confirmed that the actress will be heading to Weatherfield to play Yvette, who's involved in an upcoming storyline involving Ed and Aggie Bailey.

While out for a meal together, Ed and Aggie are surprised to bump into their old neighbours Patrick and Yvette.

The pair decide to join in on their meal to catch up, which leaves Aggie quietly fuming that their date has now been ruined.

Later on in the week, Ed reveals to his daughter Dee-Dee that the pair have decided to host Patrick and Yvette for dinner.

However, Aggie is worried about entertaining the pair for an afternoon, explaining that she's worried Yvette will look down on the couple when she sees the house they live in now.

Tim comes to the rescue and suggests the pair borrow his and Sally's house to host the dinner, but will they be able to pull off the outlandish plan?

Over at No 4, Aggie begins cooking for Patrick and Yvette while Sally watches, sensing that the arrangement will be a disaster.

At the very moment the guests arrive, Tim wanders in dressed in only Sally's pink dressing gown, leaving Patrick and Yvette completely bewildered.

Will Ed and Aggie be forced to come clean about the situation?

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
