Thursday's spring training game between the Rockies and Padres had a certain buzz about it.

With two outs in the top of the ninth inning, players and umpires hit the deck as a swarm of bees flew throughthe Peoria Sports Complex.

The Rockies held a 10-4 lead at the time of the invasion. The Padres, playing in their final spring training game, added a run in the bottom of the ninth.

Before the bees took over the stadium, Rockies shortstop Trevor Story and second baseman DJLeMahieu created their own buzz with an incredible double play.


The Rockies will be back in Peoria on Friday for their final spring training game against the Mariners. And hopefully there won't be any interruptions that might bug either team.
