The game’s biggest names are starting to arrive in Australia ahead of a busy January and already, Covid-19 issues have come to the surface.

Denis Shapovalov tested positive for coronavirus after his arrival in Australia, with a period of isolation now in store for the Canadian star.

Shapovalov was due to take part in the ATP Cup, but he is now out of that event and he might also miss the Australian Open, that gets underway on January 17th.

Now Shapovalov will wait to see whether his period of isolation will end in time for him to prepare for the Australian Open, with every player arriving in the country set to be tested for Covid in the coming days and facing a period of isolation if they produce a positive result.
