The Bembridge Harbour Family Fun Weekend 2022 saw families compete in games and challenges including paper boat building, egg and spoon races and crabbing.
Over 20 paper boats were built and raced over the weekend, including one with a sail made entirely out of feathers.
Meanwhile Bembridge beach hosted competitions for all ages, including sack races, wheelbarrow races, sandcastle competitions and an egg and spoon race.
As well as 16 sandcastles, there were seven sand sculptures, including mermaids, a village and a circus big top reflecting the weekend’s theme of the Greatest Showman.
The Bembridge RNLI were on hand to offer lifejacket checks and advice for participants.
The event culminated with a crabbing competition which saw 72 crab catchers from all ages catch over one thousand crabs.
The largest crab competition was won by an 8cm crab, who was carefully returned to the water with all the others.
The weekend was all in support of the Harbour’s nominated charity the Sophie Rolf Trust, KissyPuppy.
