Craig Levein SACKED by St Johnstone as ex Hearts boss pays price for poor start
Craig Levein has been sacked by St Johnstone, the club have confirmed.
The Perth Saints have just one win from five games in the Premiership and have lost the rest and sit 10th in the table, ahead of Kilmarnock and Hearts. Fans voiced their displeasure with the manager at the 2-0 away defeat to Hibs at the weekend and McDiarmid Park chiefs have now acted.
The 59-year-old was in the job less than a year after being appointed in November 2023. Relegation was a real concern at that point but he steadied the ship and eventually guided them to safety despite coming close to getting drawn back into. St Johnstone's only league win this season came away at Kilmarnock and they've had a man sent off in each of their last three matches.
