Crash involving stolen car from Bromley home leaves two in hospital

A crash in Bromley involving a stolen Ford Fiesta has left two people in hospital and another two members of the public injured.

Police were called to Sundridge Avenue at 4.36pm after reports of a car being stolen from a property.

As officers attended and were speaking with the victim of the stolen car, a black coloured Ford Fiesta crashed into another vehicle driven at Logs Hill, Chislehurst.

London Air Ambulance, paramedics and London Fire Brigade attended the crash and the two men travelling in the stolen Ford Fiesta were found with injuries.

They were both taken to hospital for treatment where they currently remain.

One man is described as being in a critical but stable condition whereas the other man’s injuries are not life-threatening.

Two members of the public in the second vehicle, a man and a teenage girl, received treatment at the scene but did not go to hospital.

Police are now appealing for further information or video footage of the crash.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “At 4.36pm on Tuesday, 6 June police received a report of a car stolen from Sundridge Avenue, Bromley.

Officers attended and while they were speaking with the victim, the stolen car, a black coloured Ford Fiesta, was reported to have been in collision with another vehicle driven by a member of the public at Logs Hill.

“Officers, London’s Air Ambulance [HEMS], London Ambulance Service [LAS] and London Fire Brigade [LFB] attended.

“Two males travelling the in the Ford Fiesta sustained injuries. Both were taken to hospital for treatment where they remain.

“One male is in a critical but stable condition; the other's injuries are not life threatening.

“A male and a teenage girl from the second vehicle also received treatment at the scene - they did not go to hospital.
