Stuart Broad will take his men to the West Indies next year

The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has revealed an itinerary which will see England play three Twenty20s - as well as three 50-over matches - in Antigua and Barbados from late February into March.

West Indies are the reigning World Twenty20 champions and will bid to defend their title in Bangladesh a month later.

The announcement means England will play at least six competitive Twenty20s in the two months prior to the tournament they won in the Caribbean in 2010.

Stuart Broad's side will also meet Australia in three T20s at the end of their tour of Australia in the winter.

"These two powerhouse limited overs teams possess some of the leading players in the world and the contests are sure to be entertaining and competitive in the very attractive 50-over and Twenty20 over formats," WICB cricket operations manager Roland Holder said in a statement.

"This is one of the most highly-anticipated tours on the cricketing calendar. West Indies' battles with England have been legendary, going back to 1928 when the two teams first played."

England tour of West Indies schedule:Feb 25 - England v Vice Chancellor's XI (Venue TBC). Three-match ODI series at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground, Antigua: February 28 and March 2 & 5. Three-match Twenty20 series at the Kensington Oval, Barbados: March 9, 11 & 13.
