The Daredevils won the toss and elected to bat but were restricted to 154 for four with Shane Watson taking one for 21.
Ben Rohrer top-scored for the Daredevils with a 64 not out after Mahela Jayawardene had made 34 off 31 balls but Rajasthan made short work of the run chase.
A 48-ball 53 from Rahul Dravid set the Royals on their way before Ajinkya Rahane (63 not out) and Shane Watson (28 not out) saw the Royals easily make the chase.
In the late game, the Mumbai Indians moved up to second with a 65-run win over the Kolkata Knight Riders.
Having won the toss, the Indians chose to bat and posted a formidable 170 for six. Dwayne Smith (47) and Sachin Tendulkar (48) opened with a stand of 93 for the first wicket.
However, when Rohit Sharma was dismissed at the beginning of the 18th over, the Indians had a mini-collapse with four wickets lost within the space of nine balls to leave them at 144 for six.
But, Dinesh Karthik - in at number three - withstood the collapse to make an 18-ball 34 as the Indians closed with 35 runs in the last two overs to post an imposing 170.
In response, the Knight Riders never recovered from having skipper Gautam Gambhir dismissed in the first over with Jacques Kallis top-scoring with 24 as they slumped to 105 all out.
