Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed he will conduct an interview as the Manchester United forward hit out at “lies” surrounding his future.

The 37-year-old is eager to leave Old Trafford after only season back at the club but has struggled to find a landing spot at this stage of his career.

Chelsea were offered Ronaldo’s services though passed on the chance to sign him, while Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid have also ruled out moves.

Recent reports have suggested United, who have stressed the player will stay this summer, feel as if they could be forced to terminate his contract due to fears over his attitude.

Still, after a lack of signings this summer, Ronaldo remains Erik ten Hag’s most reliable source of goals and was handed his first start of the season in Saturday’s humiliating 4-0 loss to Brentford.

Taking to Instagram, Ronaldo wrote: “They know the truth when they interview in couple of weeks. The media is telling lies.

"I have a notebook and in the last few months of the 100 news I made, only 5 of them were right.

"Imagine how it is. Stick with that tip."
