Marc Guehi is loving life playing alongside Joachim Andersen at Crystal Palace. Guehi joined Palace from Chelsea for £18million over the summer and has formed a strong partnership with Andersen under Patrick Vieira.

Both are crucial to the way in which Vieira wants to play, with the two confident and composed when it comes to playing out from the back.

With so much change at Selhurst Park over the summer it could have been difficult to settle, but Guehi has slotted in well.

"It is going well, we’re getting used to each other’s games and understanding how we both want to play and what roles we have in that partnership," Guehi said.

"I am really enjoying it. Hopefully with many more games to come we can solidify that, get more clean sheets and hopefully more wins."

Guehi is also starring alongside another Chelsea graduate, and his England Under-21 team-mate, Conor Gallagher at Palace.

Since joining Palace on loan from Chelsea, Gallagher has won both Palace’s player of the month awards so far this season following a stellar start to life at the club.

"Not at all surprised," said Guehi, the England Under-21 captain. "He is a fantastic player, someone who already has Premier League experience with West Brom so he is accustomed to the League.

"I am not surprised at all that he has done so well, he brings so much energy to the team and that goalscoring form he is now showing and reproducing. I am sure he will carry that on this season."

Guehi and Gallagher will be hoping to carry their Palace form into this international break as Lee Carsley’s Young Lions face trips to Slovenia this evening before visiting Andorra next week as part of their qualification for Euro 2023.
