Wilfried Zaha has hailed Conor Gallagher for his impact on Crystal Palace following their shock win at Manchester City.

Gallagher, who joined on loan from Chelsea over the summer, set Zaha up for the opening goal before doubling Palace's lead with his third goal of the season after Manchester City had been reduced to 10 men with Aymeric Laporte's red card.

"The energy he has is unreal," Zaha said of Gallagher.

"It helps so much having someone who gets back and helps us going forward as well. Having him up there and linking up with him is amazing, it helps quite a bit.”

Palace have dropped points from winning positions too often this season, something Zaha hopes will change after holding on at The Etihad.

"Mentally it is massive," said Zaha. "The last couple of weeks we have played well but last minute we draw and it's not good enough. The way we want to play, the mentality we have, we want to win. I want to win.

"So we need to have this mentality where we are ruthless. We can't just let teams get back in the game when we've worked so hard. To win this game will help the lads massively."
