CWMBRAN Celtic had to settle for a share of the spoils on their return to Cymru South action.

After a break for cup football, Cwmbran looked set to take three points when they led Briton Ferry Llansawel 2-1 thanks to goals by Joshua Rippon and Andrew Hewitt.

However, the visitors levelled with 15 minutes to go and Celtic couldn't force a late winner.

They are on a five-game unbeaten run while Abergavenny Town, Ardal SE champions last season, have lost their last three.

Town, now managed by Nicky Morgan, were edged out 2-1 at Llantwit Major with their goal coming from Jac Owen Evans.

The Cymru South champions took the spoils thanks to a stunning strike by Paolo Marenghi.

Undy Athletic and Chepstow Town are setting the pace in Ardal SE.

Both clubs have won five and drawn one of their fixtures.

Undy lead on goal difference after their 4-0 win against Lliswerry while Chepstow won impressively 4-2 at Abertillery Bluebirds, who had been top after playing a game more.

Caldicot beat Trethomas Bluebirds 2-1, Croesyceiliog won 2-1 at Ebbw Vale and Newport City and Tredegar Town lost on the road to Treowen Stars (2-1) and Brecon Corries (5-1) respectively.

Blaenavon Blues won 2-1 at Goytre on Friday while Risca United and Monmouth drew 3-3.
