The Omega Pharma Quick Step rider stayed cool in a chaotic sprint to the line at the climax of the 141km stage in Alanya.

The Manx Missile was guided into position efficiently by his team in the final kilometre, then found a space and powered away - and he was still increasing the gap over the field as he crossed the line.

Italy's Elia Viviani (Cannondale) finished second, with Dutch star Theo Bos (Belkin) third.

Monday's second stage, a 175km run from Alanya to Kemer, should also offer a chance for the sprinters to shine.
