Both riders have been with Lampre for considerable periods of time - Righi since 2003 and Marzano for his entire career.

Righi, 36, rode the Tour de France and the Giro d'Italia five times each but will now be “an active intermediary between sport service (reference point for functional evaluation and counselling for training programs) and the team’s riders, supporting the sport directors and the medical staff in monitoring the activities that will be performed in sport service".

Thirty-two-year-old Marzano, winner of the Baby Giro eight years ago, will be "an assistant of the technical staff and he’ll back the sport directors in organising the logistics of the races, in collecting the data about the cyclists’ performances, in the evaluations of the courses and in the assistance during the races".
