The duo beat Spain in the women's team sprint final on Friday to claim Britain's first gold.

Jason Kenny won his keirin qualifying heat and team-mate Lewis Oliva triumped in the repechage to join the London 2012 star in the second round.

Andy Tennant finished fifth in the men's individual pursuit qualifying as Denmark's Lasse Norman Hansen will meet Martyn Irvine, who won a silver medal for ireland in the scratch race on Friday, for gold.

GB's Jon Dibben won the individual pursuit in the men's Omnium to boost his chances going into the final two events.

Gold medals will be decided in those four events tonight while there is also the third phase of the women's Omnium with Britain's Laura Trott in sixth overall after two events with 13 points. The current leader Ashlee Ankudinoff of Australia has eight points.
