A teen’s mother got a millennial makeover by her own daughter. Twitter user Haleigh Evette shared a photo of her mom, Terri, with a makeup look done by the teen herself. However, despite Terri’s bomb highlighter and contoured face, her dad did not approve of Terri’s new look.
i did my moms makeup and she felt really pretty, and now she’s crying because my dad laughed at her. rt if you think terri looks cute. pic.twitter.com/APnFUBde81

Haleigh captioned the tweet, “I did my moms makeup and she felt really pretty, and now she’s crying because my dad laughed at her. rt [Retweet] if you think Terri looks cute.”
The Twitterverse stepped in to celebrate Terri’s fresh new look. The tweet went viral with over 204,000 likes and nearly 117,000 retweets.
Haleigh shared with Yahoo Lifestyle that she never thought her tweet would gather so much attention. “It’s really wild,” she said. “I just expected a couple of my friends to hype my mother up, but then my phone just kept buzzing for two days straight.”

why laugh when it wasn’t for him in the first place. tell terri that as long as she feels beautiful, no one else’s opinion matters. you were doing it for her, not for him. he can laugh all he wants but in the end she remains beautiful and that’s the tea. pic.twitter.com/jgMNIVejDH

Another teen shared with Haleigh the look she created for her mom. But just like Haleigh’s dad, her dad laughed at the mom’s new look.
this was me when i did my mums make up for one of my assessments, she’s never wore make up and she loved it, she went home and my dad just laughed at her for it pic.twitter.com/962Z9Jc6zt

Hailegh replied, “dads suck!!! they only laugh because they don’t know how to react, they don’t know how to handle the enhanced beauty.”
Terri had a message for all those who showed her love.
“That tweeter stuff is crazy but people made me feel good and it was such a blessing,” wrote Terri.
Terri is now a viral celebrity. “My mom was so happy that she even cried,” says Haleigh.
Dads lose. Internet wins.
