Lookingat the highest projected point totals for that night's games is a good way to narrow your possibilities when putting together a lineup. You'll get a better idea of the games that will likely provide some of the biggest DFS performers.

Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup core plays

Point Guard: T.J. McConnell, (DraftKings: $5,500, FanDuel: $5,500)

The Sixers had only nineguys in their rotation Tuesday night, and we'll likely see a similar situation in tonight’s second half of a back-to-back. McConnell’s price did not increase on either site, and when we can reasonably assume he’s a lock for over 30 minutes, it’s tough to argue against him being in your lineup as a safe play. Let’s not forget that he faces Dennis Schrodertonight, who in my opinion is the worst defensive starting point guard.

Other Options: Russell Westbrook, Jrue Holiday

Shooting Guard: Victor Oladipo (DraftKings: $6,000, FanDuel: $6,000)

Maybe this is too much narrative too close to home. I’ve admitted being a Magic fan before, and I can tell you Oladipo was loved by the fan base in Orlando. This is his first time returning since being traded, and I will expect him to remind Magic fans why they were so upset last summer. Oladipo’s minutes are consistent, and I don’t love much else at the shooting guard position tonight. Playing with Westbrook, who seems to buy into narrative more than anyone, it wouldn’t surprise me to see Vic get a few extra looks.Other Options: Klay Thompson, Nik Stauskas

Small Forward: Kawhi Leonard(DraftKings: $9,900, FanDuel: $9,800)

This very well could be recency biasafter watching Kawhi and the Spurs destroy Cleveland on Monday night, but it really feels like the Spurs are clicking at the right time. Tonight’s matchup has heavy implications on the Spurs’ chance of stealing the oneseed in the West, and I think they will come out fired up at home. We know the Spurs will be forced to play at an increased pace with extra possessions and will likely scorewell above their season average in order to keep up with Golden State. I’m praying no one sits this game out, as the Warriors did just play the Rockets last night. If they don’t, we should be in for a great Wednesday night show, with Leonardright in the center of it.

Other Options: Robert Covington, Paul George

Power Forward: Zach Randolph (DraftKings: $6,300, FanDuel: $5,600)

I probably won’t reach up for Randolph on DraftKings, but he is still extremely usable on FanDuel. Late in the season it feels like we are seeing even more price disparity between the sites, and we have to be careful to get our exposure for the right price. This one really comes down to whether MarcGasol will miss another game. My expectations are that Memphis will be cautious with their star big manand not rush him back until he is fully healthy. If that’s the case, Randolph will likely startand continue to see a spike in minutes. Randolph has always been a good fantasy points per minute player, and Indiana isn’t very good at defending the paint, so I have no problem using him in one of your two FanDuel spots.

Other Options: Anthony Davis, Ersan Ilyasova

Center: Dwight Howard (DraftKings: $7,600, FanDuel: $7,200)

Have I been writing about Howard too much? I mean, I feel like I’m repeating myself, but here we are again: fair price, great matchup, Millsap out, and yet another opportunity for a double-double. Minutes for Dwight are way up, and the offense is flowing directly through him at times. The 76ers are the worst team in the NBA in defense against the center position. The Hawks are barely a favorite, so if Philadelphia can keep this game close, Dwight should have a clear path to paying off his price tag.

Other Options: Rudy Gobert, Guillermo Hernangomez
