Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup core plays

Point Guard: Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder (DraftKings: $14,000, FanDuel: $13,500)

I expect tonight to be the night Westbrook breaks the single-season triple-double record, and I’m going to keep playing him until he does. I wrote about this on Wednesday, but it's worth repeating: His minutes are the most secure of any superstar playing this time of year. Westbrook should have no problems exploiting this Phoenix team, and even if the game gets out of hand, the pursuit of the record should keep him on the court. Plug Russ in and move on.

Other Options: Mike Conley, Tyler Ulis

Shooting Guard: Lou Williams, Houston Rockets (DraftKings: $5,700, FanDuel: $4,500)

I’m not sure if Lou Will’s price on FanDuel is a mistake, but that seems way too low for him with the minutes he’s been playing. Sure, Detroit can defend the two guard well, but Williams usually sees time against second unitsand is always an option to get hot from behind the arc. While Ryan Anderson is available to play, it’s already been announced he’ll be on a minutes limit. Williams should see plenty of opportunity to meet value, and like I always say, minutes = money.

Other Options: Gary Harris, Tim Hardaway Jr.

Small Forward: TJ Warren, Phoenix Suns (DraftKings: $6,800, FanDuel: $6,400)

I love Warren’s game log, particularly those minutes! Warren is averaging 37 mpg over his past 10 contests, which is extremely high for this time of year. The Suns don’t have a ton of talent, so when you can lock in a player for that many minutes, and you know he’s going to get looks, why would you ever pass him by? The227.5 total got yhr hsmr caught my attention, and Warren looks like a great guy to get additional exposure to in this game.

Other Options: LeBron James, Danilo Gallinari

Power Forward: Larry Nance Jr., Los Angeles Lakers (DraftKings: $5,000, FanDuel: $4,300)

I hate to use the same guy in back-to-back articles, but why get cute? Nance has been seeing time, and the Lakers clearly think he has something to offer -- enough to make sure he’s a significant part of the rotation. There will surely be some value options at the position tonight, but in the NBA in April, I side with young players looking for extra minutesover backup veterans. Sacramento isn’t great at defending the paint, so look for Nance to keep rolling with another good performance.

Other Options: David Lee, Harrison Barnes

Center: DeMarcus Cousins, New Orleans Pelicans (DraftKings: $10,800, FanDuel: $10,100)

If Boogie plays, I will have a ton of exposure. If he does not, Anthony Davis will get the lock in my core. Either way, this is a scoring environment made in daily fantasy heaven. The thing that worries meis the Pelicans have already been eliminated, and if DeMarcus suffers any setbacks mid-game, they aren’t going to push him. Keep a close eye on what news comes out. If f Boogie is a full go, I think he dominates.

Other Options: Nikola Jokic, James Johnson
