Luka Doncic listed as questionable for Game 4 vs. Clippers with cervical strain

Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic is listed as questionable for their Game 4 matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday with a cervical strain, the team said Saturday.

Doncic said that he started feeling pain in his neck during their Game 3 loss to the Clippers on Friday, and that it moved down his left arm.

Doncic finished just shy of a triple-double in the 118-108 loss to the Clippers on Friday. He dropped a playoff career-high 44 points while shooting nearly 54% from the field, and had nine rebounds and nine assists. He’s averaged 38 points, nine assists and 8.7 rebounds so far in the playoffs, and led Dallas to a 2-1 series lead over the Clippers.

Doncic said that he first noticed the pain in his neck around halftime on Friday, and that it started moving down his arm during the second half.

“It’s just weird,” he said after the game, via The Dallas Morning News. “I don’t know how you call it. It’s just some massage, some rest, and hopefully we’re good.”

Mavericks forward Maxi Kleber was listed as probable for Sunday’s game with right Achilles soreness, and JJ Redick is still out with an Achilles injury. He hasn’t played at all so far this postseason for Dallas.

The Mavericks were listed at +125 to win Game 4 on BetMGM, and at -105 to win the series.
