Dani Olmo has been a standout performer for Spain in Euro 2024 and he could see his release clause at RB Leipzig triggered before it expires next Monday.

Olmo has been instrumental in helping La Roja reach Sunday's final in Berlin, where they'll face either England or the Netherlands, scoring three goals and providing two assists.

His goal in Munich on Tuesday night secured Spain's 2-1 victory over France in the semi-finals, giving the three-time winners another shot at glory. It's set to be a whirlwind few days for Olmo, who is also expected to gain some clarity regarding his club future.

It is believed that cubs from both the Premier League and Spain have been circling following several months of behind-the-scenes discussions, with Olmo having a $64m (£50m/€59m) release clause.

Chelsea are known to admire Olmo and have reportedly held talks with his representatives. However, sources close to the Blues indicate they're not actively pursuing a deal. Similarly, despite Spanish media reports, Liverpool are also unlikely to make a move for the forward.

No player has netted more goals than Olmo at the European Championships, and Leipzig are ready to play hardball if clubs express interest after his release clause deadline. They're expected to demand up to $90m (£70m/€83m), indicating that any team keen on signing the ex-Dinamo Zagreb player must act swiftly.

Last year, Olmo committed to a new long-term contract with Leipzig until summer 2027, giving them the right to hike up the price once Monday rolls around.

He recently said of his future during an interview with Mundo Deportivo: "I am calm and focused on what is coming, which is the Euro, which is no small thing. It is clear that it is good to see your name related to great teams in Europe and the world, that motivates me, but I am focused on the Euro and I hope we can return with the trophy.

"Then we'll see. It's nice to see your name related to the greats, but I insist, it's nothing that bothers me. I am focused on the field and then whatever has to be, will be."

Olmo's current focus is on firing Spain to another international trophy this weekend, he told reporters after the triumph over Les Bleus: "We are very close now, one step away from glory. "We planned the game very well and, although we conceded a goal, we knew how to react with the spectacular goal from Lamine [Yamal] and then with my own. And in the second half we knew how to control it." says: Olmo has been a standout performer for Spain this summer and Leipzig will be desperate for his release clause to expire. He would be a steal at that price but it appears Liverpool and Chelsea are not considering moves at this stage.
