Leeds United manager Daniel Farke cut a frustrated figure in the wake of their 1-0 loss at Blackburn Rovers. Farke exchanged words with the Rovers midfielder in a heated conversation on the pitch following United's defeat at Ewood Park. Travis was briefly pulled away by his team-mates before Farke spoke to the player again and the pair hugged each other.

Farke, who also spoke to the match officials after the Whites lost for the second time on the road this season, said: "I was frustrated. (I) Asked a few questions at the end, between us. Not why we lost. We are far away from being perfect."

The German admitted their sluggish first half performance cost them dearly in Lancashire. Todd Cantwell’s 22nd minute penalty condemned the Whites to their third Championship defeat of the season as Farke's men missed the chance to move back to the top of the table. The visitors pressed hard after the break for an equaliser, with Largie Ramazani seeing a goal disallowed for offside late on.

It was not to be and United head into their December fixture programme three points off the summit. "Congratulations to Blackburn. They had the better start and deserved it.

"We started too slowly and gave away too many unnecessary free-kicks. The penalty was the same. I don't want to be too critical. Lazy is too harsh, but we did not go in for the duels properly. We should have been more on it in the first half and should have been quicker in the head. Blackburn were not the most dangerous team because we had moments to score, but this is why we were behind."

It was the Whites' third fixture in the space of six days while Blackburn only played twice following their Portsmouth call-up. "When you have such a load and this is the Championship, an away game like this can be a hard," he said. "We had to be ready for the battle after a comfortable win on Wednesday. I'm frustrated we did not start well.

"We had the third game in six days, early kick-off. They had one game in last 10 days. I was frustrated."
