New date for Carlisle United's abandoned clash with Grimsby

Carlisle United's abandoned game at Grimsby Town has been rearranged.

The Blues will return to Blundell Park in just over a month's time.

The teams will play the League Two game at the second attempt on Tuesday, September 27.

Like the abandoned match this Tuesday, it will be a 7.45pm kick-off.

Carlisle have confirmed that tickets bought for the original date remain valid.

Those fans who bought in advance from the Blues and cannot attend on the new date can claim a refund should contact United's ticket offie for a refund.

Those who bought tickets on the night and cannot attend next month should contact Grimsby Town.

Tuesday's game was called off in the first half by referee Simon Mather after torrential rain left Grimsby's pitch waterlogged.

The match was abandoned in the interests of player safety.
