David Beckham speaks out on Liverpool star he 'loves' as Man United rivalry put aside
David Beckham admits he "sees a bit of himself" in Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold. And the former Manchester United star put his old rivalries aside to offer some more gushing praise to the Scouse full-back.
Beckham, who made 394 appearances for United before moving on to Real Madrid, LA Galaxy, Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan, was known for his crossing and passing ability with his right foot, as well as his accuracy from dead ball situations.
And in Liverpool vice captain Alexander-Arnold, he sees a player with similar abilities. Indeed, Beckham admits he's a big fan of the full-back, who is a key part of a team that were fierce rivals during his time at United.

"If there was one player I look at, and I think he's very similar in the way he delivers the ball, he's very similar in the way he crosses the ball or passes, it has to be Trent," said Beckham.
"His vision, he's unbelievable. And he's an exceptional player, but when I look at a player and I think I see myself in the way he puts the ball in, what he sees, in the long balls that he plays.
"He plays balls that some players don't even think about and that's what I love about him as a player."
Liverpool are under increasing pressure to agree a new contract with Alexander-Arnold, whose terms on a four-year deal signed in 2020 expire next summer. The right-back is believed to be a priority signing for another of Beckham's old clubs, Real Madrid.
