David Coote 'admits' X-rated Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp video is genuine
David Coote has reportedly admitted the viral video in which he appears to use highly offensive language about former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is genuine. The video, believed to be several years old, surfaced on X on Monday.
It is unclear when the video was made or how it came into circulation; however, Coote is asked for his views on a Liverpool match where he has just been the fourth official and describes them as "s***".
He then uses an offensive term to describe Klopp. When asked why he felt that way, Coote says the former Reds boss had "a right pop at me when I reffed them against Burnley in lockdown" and had accused him of lying.

"I have got no interest in speaking to someone who's f****** arrogant, so I do my best not to speak to him," Coote is heard on camera saying.
And now, according to the Mirror, Coote is understood to have accepted that the viral video in which he appears is genuine. However, the same report claims that he does not recall the content of the discussion, recorded several years ago.
Refereeing body PGMOL confirmed on Monday that Coote has been suspended pending an investigation. The FA have also confirmed they are investigating the video, while Liverpool have been contacted for comment.
“David Coote has been suspended with immediate effect pending a full investigation,” a statement from the PGMOL read. PGMOL will be making no further comment until that process is complete."
Coote, from Nottinghamshire, is registered as a Notts County fan and is therefore unable to officiate the Magpies or Nottingham Forest matches. He took charge of Liverpool's 2-0 Premier League win over Aston Villa at Anfield on Saturday.
