David Moyes bemoaned his wasteful West Ham side as Brentford snatched a late winner at the London Stadium.

West Ham struggled to create chances here and were wasteful when they managed to get into good positions in the Brentford box.

Jarrod Bowen equalised late on after Bryan Mbuemo’s first-half opener but Yoane Wissa struck in added time to take all three points for Brentford.

Tomas Soucek had a golden chance to attack a Delcan Rice cross at 1-1 but didn’t manage to get on the end of it.

"I don’t know how many times we got into the byline and didn’t pick out the pass and take the chance.

"We really today didn’t take the opportunities we had and we had quite a few.

"I thought today we did create them but we missed other really good opportunities to create really good chances. Today wasn’t for a lack of chances.

"We had the chances to score the second goal just didn’t take it." Soucek has struggled to match his form of last season so far and Moyes admitted that the Czech is not at his best.

Moyes added: "Tomas has just not quite got on the end of things as well. Tomas has been fighting a wee bit for his best form.

"I think Tomas just struggled a bit."
