A Glasgow cat has finally been adopted after 246 days.

Mrs Wolowitz, named after the beloved character from the TV show The Big Bang Theory, was saved from a farm with only a few teeth left.

As we reported in January, volunteers have been appealing for someone to adopt her for a long time.

Today, Cats Protection's city adoption centre has announced that their "best girl" found her forever home.

The organisation thanked everyone for sponsoring the animal, who is "hesitant around humans" due to the trauma she suffered.

Staff sent her on her way and wished the pet an amazing life with her new family.
