Declan Rice was full of praise for his team-mates after Arsenal secured a 1-0 victory over Tottenham in Sunday's North London Derby.

The Gunners were made to work for victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as the only goal came in the 64th minute when Gabriel rose highest to connect Bukayo Saka's corner.

The three points meant Mikel Arteta masterminded his third straight victory at the home of Arsenal's bitter rivals without Rice, suspended after being sent off against Brighton & Hove Albion last time out, and Martin Odegaard, who suffered an ankle injury while on international duty for Norway earlier this week.

Despite missing the fixture, Rice was quick to salute the work of his team-mates after the full-time whistle as he reposted the result of the game to his story with the caption: "I love this team!!!!!!"

The 25-year-old was controversially dismissed against Brighton in Arsenal's last Premier League game after receiving two yellow cards, however, he will be available for Arsenal's trip to Manchester City next weekend. Odegaaed, meanwhile, is expected to be sidelined for the trip to the Etihad.
