Dedric and K.J. Lawson transferring to Kansas from Memphis, report says

The brothers averaged nearly a double-double for Tubby Smith's Tigers in 2016-17.

BrothersDedric andK.J. Lawson, who both averaged nearly a double-double this season at Memphis, are transferring to Kansas, their father told CBS Sports on Monday.

Sophomore Dedric, a McDonald's All-American,averaged 19.2 points and9.9 rebounds while redshirt freshmanK.J. averaged 12.3 points and 8.1 rebounds for coach Tubby Smith's Tigers in 2016-17.

They will sit out next season and be eligible to play in 2018-19.

CBS Sports noted that Dedric and K.J.'s brothers Chandler (recruiting class of 2019) and Johnathan (2021) also are top recruits in upcoming years.

Kansas has won 13 consecutiveBig 12 regular-season titles and is ranked No. 4 in Sporting News' first Top 25 for 2017-18.
