Del Bosque 'extends Spain deal'

Spain coach Vicente del Bosque has penned a new contract, telling a Spanish radio station the news.

The former Real Madrid manager told Onda Cero radio that he had "renewed" his existing deal with the Spanish federation, but did not specify the length of the contract.

He had previously been offered a two-year deal to start after Euro 2012 this summer, when his previous contract was set to expire.

A two-year contract is the expected outcome, which would take Spain through the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil.

Del Bosque took charge after the Euro 2008 triumph, going on to win the World Cup in 2010, the first in Spain’s history.
