It may have largely been a season to forget for Dele Alli - but the Tottenham midfielder has been nominated for UEFA’s goal of the season award.

The 25-year-old only scored three times in 2020-21 but his brilliant, improvised overhead effort against Wolfsberger in the Europa League has made the 10-goal shortlist.

Also included are Manchester United and France midfielder Paul Pogba’s curling stunner against the Swiss at the Euros and Czech Republic striker Patrik Schick’s outrageous long-range strike against Scotland at Hampden Park.

Rangers striker Kemar Roofe also makes the cut with an effort from his own half in the Europa League, while Sarah Zadrazil’s stunner for Bayern Munich against Chelsea is the only women’s goal in the list.
